Located in Jiji, Nantou, the Endemic Species Research Institute is the only government agency in Taiwan that specializes in the investigation, research, conservation and promotion of rare native plants and animals. The exhibition area is not only spacious, but also presents the rich and diverse ecosystems of Taiwan, from indoor to outdoor, displaying a variety of forest and vegetation topography.
