The “Dazhuhu Trail,” located in Yuchi Township, Nantou County, is the shortest trail on the shore of Sun Moon Lake, consisting of wooden pallet and the concrete trail makes it very easy to walk, suitable for tourists with children. Because it is located at the outlet of Yongquan, the “Dazhuhu” has become an excellent habitat for many kinds of water birds such as egrets, nightjars and kingfishers, as it has become a wetland due to the accumulation of sediment from the introduction of turbid water from the stream for many years. Walking along the trail, you can enjoy the scenery of the lake, the water plants and water birds living together, and the quiet and beautiful natural scenery. During the migratory season, there are flocks of ducks and geese, so those who enjoy bird watching and nature should not miss this beautiful lakeside trail.
