The Nuomi Bridge is a 20-meter high four-hole arch bridge with lush greenery around the piers and the crystal-clear water of the Beigang Stream flowing through it, making the arch bridge a popular spot for photographers.
The Nuomi Bridge was built in 1940. and is the only Grade III monument of the bridge in Taiwan. In the Japanese era when cement was still precious, the bridge was made of a mixture of glutinous rice, brown sugar, and lime, which was used as the adhesive for the stones of the bridge, hence the name Glutinous Rice Bridge.
