Hehuanshan National Forest Recreation Area is located at the junction of Hualien County and Nantou County. It is 2,300~3,400 meters high and has an area of 457.61 hectares. It is the highest national forest recreation area in Taiwan. The mountain is steep and the mountains and valleys are continuous. The peak area of Qifeng and Qilai Mountain is also the best area for mountaineering activities.
The peak of Hehuan Mountain is the main axis of the landscape. You can see the Qilai Lianfeng, Central Jianshan, Nanhu Dashan and Yushan along the road. Diversification and abundant rainfall, so Hehuanshan is rich in mountain-specific plants, spring Yushan rhododendrons, red-haired rhododendrons, Taiwanese lilies, Polygonum cuspidatum, Goldenrod, and Yushan thin snow grasses in the summer, Taiwan’s Aconite and Yushan Dianthus in autumn.
Waiting, the green alpine bamboo grassland and the original fir forest are like a paradise on earth; the low temperature snow in winter, showing a silver-white world, plus the passage of the 14th line of the Taiwanese, crossing the road with the East and West, is the best snow-caps in Taiwan. Wuling is the highest point of the whole Taiwan highway, and the vitality of the four seasons of Hehuan Mountain is waiting for you to savor!
