The Nantou Sustainable Tourism Campaign (NSTC) is a sustainable campaign network jointly established by the Nantou County Government, the tourism industry, and academic institutions. Acting as a platform for promoting sustainable tourism knowledge, cultivating sustainable talent, exchanging sustainable experiences, and conducting sustainable marketing, the NSTC is dedicated to assisting the Nantou tourism industry in finding its path to sustainable transformation and providing travelers with a central information portal for sustainable tourism in Nantou.
Nantou Sustainable Tourism Campaign Criteria (NSTC Criteria)
The criteria framework is developed based on international sustainable tourism initiatives and standards, tailored to the current situation in Nantou. Through local industry workshops and expert consultations, the definitive Nantou Sustainable Tourism Criteria were established. These criteria serve as a tool to guide Nantou tourism operators in their sustainable tourism transformation efforts, and they are also used to assess the operators’ level of sustainable tourism maturity.

This is a platform for sustainable management talent development within the Nantou tourism industry. It aims to enhance sustainable tourism literacy through courses, workshops, site visits, forums, and story award selections.

The NSTC Travel Guide features businesses certified through the NSTC Criteria, as well as those holding international sustainable tourism certifications or government-issued sustainability labels.
