Located in the northern part of Nantou City, Zhongxing New Village retains much of the glamour of the former military village, which was formerly the location of the provincial government and was the second new town in Taiwan after the war. There are many historical traces in the community that are worth exploring, such as the “Zhongxing Town Hall”, which is known as the Little White House, with its eye-catching appearance of a European-style building; the “Zhongxing Post Office Branch 7”, with its magnificent wall of stamps presenting more than 300 stamps issued in the past; and the “Provincial Government Dormitory”, which has revitalized the old premises to become a small store with local characteristics in the style of literature and youth. Also, the “Boulevard of Trees” is now an impressive landmark in Zhongxing New Village, giving it a rich atmosphere of interweaving humanity and nature.
