The Mingxin Academy, which has been rated as a national Grade III monument, is located on the campus of Yongchang Elementary School in Jiji, Nantou. The academy was built during the Qing Dynasty and was one of the four major academies in Nantou County. The palace-style exterior, brick walls, and swallowtail eaves preserve the ancient appearance of the past. It is not only the site of the annual Confucian rituals in Jiji, but also a must-see cultural attraction for those who come to Nantou to learn more about the humanities.
