The Nantou Mujiliao Ecological Park in Zhushan Township was severely damaged by the 921 earthquake and Typhoon Taoshi. After the disaster, through the joint efforts of the residents and the government, the park has not only set up a retarding basin, but also stone art installations, wooden walks, and wetlands with native natural plants, etc., which serve the function of environmental education without affecting disaster prevention. The maple forest that appears every season is an eye-catching sight, and it is ideal for holiday trekking.
