The Pa Pao Chun in Changhua County was first built in 1709 and is one of the oldest canals in Taiwan. It was originally named “Shi Chu Chun” and was also called “Zhuoshui Canal” because the water from the Zhuoshui River was used to irrigate the farmland in Pa Pao.
