Located on the shore of Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, the Wenwu Temple was built in Northern-dynasty style palace, which is the must-visit place for visitors. The “Wenwu Hiking Trail,” which is hidden behind the Wenwu Temple, is a major attraction for many visitors. The 200-meter-long “Wenwu Hiking Trail” has 366 steps, symbolizing the 366 days of the leap year. A resting platform is set up at the location marked the first of each month, and information about the 24 solar terms is also engraved on both sides of the stairs. In addition, there are also “lucky wind bells” available for purchase. By hanging the lucky wind bell of your zodiac sign on the railing where your birthday is, you can pray for yourself, making walking along the “New Year’s Ladder” full of surprises and fun.
