The “Shuili Snake Kiln” is a famous cultural attraction in Shuili Township, Nantou County. The “Snake Kiln” originated from Fuzhou, China, and was named because the kiln was built in the shape of a snake from a distance, following the topography of the hillside. The “Shuili Snake Kiln Pottery Cultural and Creative Park” was established in 1982 and contains many unique kiln products that are worth exploring for the whole family. The Heritage Museum in the park has a collection of kiln-made antiques, such as earthenware bowls, cups and urns. Visitors can also experience hands-on pottery making activities, and there is also a pottery teacher on site to guide them. In addition, there are also pottery classes, artists’ studios, the 921 Memorial Hall and other thematic venues, as well as the Snake Kiln Café and the Snake Kiln Shop, allowing you to explore the world of the snake kiln to your heart’s content!
