The station is known as “The most beautiful station in Taiwan,” located in Shuili Township, Nantou County, and is the final station of the Taiwan Railways Chiji Branch Line. It is surrounded by mountains, lakes, abundant scenic spots, and a large hinterland suitable for families to go out on holidays, and when the weather is good, you can even see the high dam of Mingtan Reservoir. The station was built during the Japanese occupation and rebuilt with logs after the September 21 earthquake, which not only restored the historical atmosphere but also filled the space with the scent of wood. The station also sells hard tickets, which is full of nostalgic atmosphere. The large “turf railroad display area” next to the station is also a great way to see the old railroad in its former glory, as well as the rare sight of the signal building and truck cars. The “Rickshaw” allows children and adults to have fun and experience the fun of manual movement. The bright and childish “Painted Train” allows visitors to take pictures.
