Fengshan Temple, built in 1861, is located on the Bagua Terrace and is dedicated to Avalokiteshvara. The local residents have formed a community around it, and it is the center of faith in the area. It is commonly referred to as Kuan Yin Ma Hall or Cao Wei Ling Hall, and is a popular place for incense. It has been renovated several times and a 15-meter-high viewing platform has been built to overlook the scenery of Nantou.
