The main building of the Nantou County Cultural Park is the Wude Temple (established in 1937), which was built during the Japanese rule period, and is an imitation of a Tang Dynasty building that combines northern Chinese and Japanese styles. At that time, it was used as a training ground for the police and kendo, and after the Nationalist government came to Taiwan, it was used as the county police station, the county environmental protection bureau, and the provincial mountain farming bureau. At present, there are four themes in the park: County History Museum, Nantou Ceramic Museum, County History Library, and Artist Museum. Among them, the County History Museum mainly focuses on the research of Nantou County history, such as cultural relics, old photos, artifacts of ancestral life, and aboriginal culture.
